FIELD: pulse modulators.
SUBSTANCE: proposed pulse modulator has subtraction stage that generates regulation error signal and depends for its operation on difference between input and feedback signals, and also signal conversion stage that functions to convert regulation error signal into control signal. The latter is multiplied by complex mixed signal at operating frequency ω0 in first multiplication stage. At least one of acting and imaginary parts shifted to signal higher frequency band is then quantized by quantization sage thereby generating actual pulse signal, This signal is then used to produce feedback signal for subtraction stage residing in feedback unit. Such pulse modulator provides for flexible regulation of quantization noise.
EFFECT: ability of shifting suppressed quantization noise toward desired operating frequency.
