PORTABLE APPARATUS FOR SEPARATION OF SEEDS FROM CONES Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A23N5/00 

FIELD: forest industry, in particular, technique for separation of seeds from cones.

SUBSTANCE: portable apparatus for separation of seeds from cones has threshing unit and receptacle. Threshing unit is furnished with means for attachment of said unit to tree. Threshing drum is mounted on shaft within casing of threshing unit. Threshing unit is formed from parallel rods having round section and equally spaced apart from one another. Receptacle has spring-loaded platform mounted on base for vibrating and provided with power source. Receiving hopper rigidly mounted on platform has screw positioned on shaft in lower part of receiving hopper and receiving sieve positioned on shaft in upper part of receiving hopper. Receiving sieve has rim and openings for passage of seeds and small-sized trash. Cylindrical sieves mounted on shaft, beyond receiving hopper, are provided with coils formed on their inner surface. One of said sieves has openings for removal of small-sized trash and small-sized seeds, and other sieve is provided with openings for separation of food seeds from other seeds and opening for exit of large-sized other seeds. Threshing unit has deck positioned at an angle to threshing drum, in spaced relation thereto, and discharge opening provided in its lower part. Shaft of threshing unit is connected through belt transmission to shaft of power source mounted on platform. Chain saw is used as power source.

EFFECT: improved quality of separation and sorting out of nuts.
