FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: tubular drop-type legs for support surfaces have connection unit including member for connection to tubular body, and attachment member for attachment to support surface. Drop legs are capable of turning between first non-operating folded position and second operating open position. Connection unit is provided with flexible U-shaped locking means for fixing of legs in certain position. Said means has central pressing surface and two side shoulders with engagement members. Connection unit is further provided with means for reliable fixing in operating position, said means having inclined centering surfaces to be joined with one another.

EFFECT: improved stability, simplified and quick repositioning of legs from operating position to non-operating position, and vice versa.
