FIELD: equipment for grinding of solid materials, preferably, explosive mineral salts.
SUBSTANCE: method involves charging a portion of basic material into feeder; feeding basic material into mixing chamber; mixing with air flow; grinding in a number of sequentially arranged milling chambers by accelerating mixture in nozzles and impacting against milling plates, with speed increasing from one chamber to another; settling ground material; providing mixing of basic material with air flow at pressure of 3-7 kgf/cm2; settling ground material at low pressure of 0.05-0.5 kgf/cm2. Grinding process is carried out at pressure in front of nozzles reducing in direction of advancement of material. After feeding a portion of basic material into feeder, the latter is pressurized, and compressed air is supplied into cavity above basic material under pressure equal to air pressure within mixing chamber.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of power for grinding process, minimized carrying away of material from settling zone, and reduced moistening of hygroscopic materials upon discharging thereof after grinding process.
