FIELD: printing devices and methods for controlling printing devices for printing reports about data recorded by tachograph.

SUBSTANCE: printing device has a resource of print carrier and is provided with carrier transportation mechanism. With periodic intervals, without feeding the printing command, print carrier is transported by print carrier transportation mechanism, during which in absence of printing command the print carrier is transported in direction towards dispensing the print or oppositely to that direction.

EFFECT: prevented contortion of print carrier in printing device after extensive idling time, because under influence of oscillations of temperature and air moisture the print carrier may glue to pressing roller.
