FIELD: engineering of printing devices.
SUBSTANCE: printing device has extended aperture for carrier output, in particular, for digital tachograph of vehicle with at least one contact surface, which limits carrier output aperture in transverse direction and along which in longitudinal direction printing carrier slides during output. Limiting operation conditions of small format printing device in digital tachograph of vehicle are basis for necessity of aperture for carrier output being packed to prevent penetration of harmful substances. In accordance to invention, carrier output aperture has extended packing shutter, which in transverse direction is moveable and by means of packing contact is resiliently pressed to contact surface, closing carrier outlet aperture, while carrier with imprint may be outputted between contact surface and packing shutter in direction of output. Also printing method is suggested, which includes periodical full drawing of printing carrier wound on a bobbin.
EFFECT: increased efficiency.
