FIELD: electric engineering, possible use for generating stable frequency voltage in electric power plants with alternating speed of rotation of driving engine shaft.
SUBSTANCE: in commutated synchronous generator, minimization of distortions of sinusoidal character of output voltage is ensured due to control over mutual relation time-wise between moments when commutator disables current pair of diametrically opposite clamps of multi-section excitation winding from constant current source and moments when another pair of clamps is connected to it, making it possible to alter harmonic composition of generated voltage. Sensor controls non-sinusoidal character of voltage, suppresses first harmonic of output voltage and outputs average rectified value of all distorting harmonics into computer. Computer realizes extreme control of non-sinusoidal character of voltage, controlling duration of commutator control impulses by means of an appropriate circuit.
EFFECT: reduced distortions of shape of generated voltage in conformable electric power plants.
