FIELD: chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing inhibited water-soluble cellulose ether involving the following steps: (a) treatment of moist cellulose ether with dialdehyde solution, and (b) drying and grinding cellulose ether. Saline aqueous solution representing a solution is added to cellulose ether simultaneously or together with dialdehyde solution wherein aqueous solution consists of at least two salts and wherein one salt represents weak acid with pK value from 5.5 to 8.5, and another salt represents salt of this weak acid with pK value from 5.5 to 8.5 that provides pH value of cellulose ether from 6.0 to 8.0 under homogenous condition. Except for, invention relates to inhibited cellulose water-soluble ether that is used widely as glues, thickening agents or anticoagulants.
