FIELD: hydro-acoustics, possible use for developing hydro-acoustic range-finding systems with increased precision and range of effect, meant for operation in water bodies of low depth (shallow sea type) with large dispersion distortions of acoustic signal.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, at controlled object, periodical impulse acoustic signal is generated and emitted. Emission of acoustic signal is synchronized with beginning of time count in receipt point at object being controlled. At object being controlled, acoustic signal is received by two receivers. One of receivers is positioned directly on the soil and vector receiver of oscillation speed is used as such, at output of which vertical and horizontal components of oscillation speed vector are measured. As second receiver, directional receiver of sound pressure is used. On basis of measured parameters, with consideration of preliminarily measured density and speed of sound in bottom layer of water, and also density and speed of longitudinal waves in the soil, distance to the object is determined.
EFFECT: reduced error of measurements.
