FIELD: electrical engineering; large lifting and moving mechanisms requiring reduced (creeping) speeds.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method that can be used for AC drives built around wound-rotor induction motor with three-phase impedance (starting inductive reactance) in rotor circuit involves calculation of turn-on moment for thyristors or triacs using voltage setting electric drive speed , voltage setting mechanical characteristic flatness, feedback voltage, and time of voltage half-cycle across rotor rings. Thyristors or triacs are turned on during moments found in this way. Turn-on moment is determined for each thyristor or triac independently of other ones.

EFFECT: provision for parametric speed control effect at limited torque fluctuations.
