FIELD: electrical engineering; alternating-current drives built around wound-rotor induction motor and primarily used for crane lifting mechanisms.
SUBSTANCE: proposed control method involves disconnection of one or two rotor phases as lowering light-mass goods does not require heavy torque while heavy goods tend accelerating motor in lowering direction. Motor starter circuit is originally connected for force lowering irrespective of goods mass and at the same time one or two rotor phases are disconnected.
EFFECT: ability of automating start-brake conditions at the same time reducing dynamic impacts in mechanical equipment of electric drive.
