FIELD: information carrier, halftone image produced by means of structural elements, and also a structural element in form of a line.
SUBSTANCE: information carrier, mainly, a security, contains at least one first halftone image, which is reproduced by spaced structural elements in form of lines. Required tone gradation of halftone image is transferred due to appropriate modulation of width of line-shaped structural elements, each one of which has base line, relatively to which its width is modulated. At least within limits of one fragment of halftone image the width of line-shaped structural elements is modulated in each spot of structural elements only on one side of their corresponding base line and thus aforementioned line-shaped structural elements have even or smoothed form on one side and are width-modulated on the other side.
EFFECT: claimed invention ensured high degree of protection of information carrier from copying due to usage of disclosed improved linear screening method.
