FIELD: the invention refers to measuring technique and refers to an instrument for diagnostics of motionless steel cables.
SUBSTANCE: in the fault finder the inductor of a linear asynchronous engine is used in quality of a magnetized system. Supporting rollers rested upon a motionless cable are fastened to the magnetic circuit of the engine. The flaw detector has a suspension pivotally connected with the magnetic circuit on which there are installed a multi-phase source of feeding and a recording device. In the body of the magnetic circuit there are magnetic sensitive elements. Such design of the magnetized system gives to the flaw detector capability to shift independently due to moving magnetic flow and also to find breaking of the wires of the cable. The signal about the break of the wire is received by a magnetic sensitive element located on the magnetic circuit and is transmitted to the recording device installed on the suspension.
EFFECT: allows diagnostics of a motionless steel cable.
