FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: proposed jet-propelled catamaran has two cargo and passenger hulls with connection members and propulsor. Catamaran propulsor is made in form of double-flow turbojet engine installed in fore section on pylons in between hulls; engine is provided with jet propulsion nozzle directing the reaction gases sternward at angle of 45o relative to water surface for slightly raising the fore section of catamaran above water surface and thawing the ice on this surface in between hulls. Pylons are located at level of upper surface of hulls.
EFFECT: wide use of catamaran.
