FIELD: organic chemistry, organic synthesis, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves interaction of 4-aminoquinoline with aliphatic aldehydes in the presence of terbium trichloride TbCl3 x 6 H2O or terbium nitrate Tb(NO3)3 x 6 H2O as a crystal hydrate catalyst taken in the mole ratio 4-aminoquinoline : R-CH2CHO : Tb = 45:100:1.2, respectively, under atmosphere pressure, temperature 1000C, for 4 h in dimethylformamide (DMFA) medium as a solvent. Substituted 2,3-dialkyl-7,8-benzo-1,6-naphthyridines are used as corrosion inhibitors and in fine organic synthesis also in preparing physiologically active substances.
EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
