FIELD: oil production, particularly to operate oil production well provided with sucker-rod well pump.
SUBSTANCE: method involves lifting oil to well head via flow string with the use of well pump connected to sucker-rod string inside well; connecting load applied to sucker-rod string and calculating operating time of sucker-rod string in well; determining commercial production rate of sucker-rod string and setting threshold commercial production rate thereof; shutting-down well as commercial production rate reaches said threshold value; lifting sucker-rod string with well pump from well; separating the sucker-rod string into separate sections so that each section includes sucker rods having one diameter; reversing sucker rod location order in each section so that the first sucker rod is the last one, the second sucker rod is next to last one and so on; lowering the assembled sucker-rod string with well pump in well and continuing well operation.
EFFECT: increased service life of sucker-rod string.
