FIELD: electrical engineering; active anode material for lithium storage batteries.
SUBSTANCE: proposed material has complex of Si-phase ultra-thin particles and oxide around the latter, as well as carbon material. Proposed production process includes production of complex that has ultra-thin Si particles and oxide around the latter by mixing silicon oxide and material characterized in absolute enthalpy (Δhfor) of oxide formation higher than that of silicon oxide. Oxide matrices around nano-size Si are produced by way of mechanical-chemical reaction, measures being taken to prevent mechanical destruction of anode active material by limiting and eliminating changes in volume caused by lithium reaction.
EFFECT: enhanced service life of secondary lithium battery with respect to number of charge-discharge cycles.
