SUBSTANCE: method for reducing peak to average power ratio (PAPR) in a communication system with multiplexing with orthogonal frequency division of channels (OFDM), including N carriers, where L carriers are assigned for L reserved tones, and data is transferred by means of (N-L) remaining tones, where L is less than N, which method includes generating an impulse signal of L reserved tones; phase of generated impulse signal is transformed to phase of signal which has maximal peak value among complex output signals, produced as a result of inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) of N carriers; generated impulse signal is scaled for the value of difference between maximal peak value and target power value; and complex addition of scaled signal and complex output signal after IFFT is conducted.
EFFECT: increased speed of data transmission.
