SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering. Method for assignment of check character for identification of base station in the communication system with multiple inputs and multiple outputs (MIMO), with one or more, transmitting antenna is suggested. Check character consists of the first sequence with good cell identification characteristics and of the second sequence to reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) for all check characters.
