FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed hydromechanical variable-speed drive has drive and driven shafts, torque converter and two planetary trains. First planetary train has epicyclical gear connected with driven shaft, sun gear, central gear connected with torque converter impeller, and carrier with two-rim planet pinions connected with driven shaft. Reactor of torque converter is connected with driven shaft. Second planetary train has epicyclical gear, sun gear and carrier with planet pinions. Epicyclical gear of first planetary train is in meshing with small rims of two-rim planet pinions. Turbine of torque converter is connected with carrier of second planetary train, and its epicyclical gear is connected with driven shaft.
EFFECT: simplified design, increased service life of engine, reduced consumption of fuel.
