FIELD: electric engineering, possible use for controlling asynchronous engines, including traction engines.
SUBSTANCE: in the method for controlling asynchronous engine, voltage frequency of asynchronous engine is determined as a total of rotor rotation frequency and its optimal sliding. Optimal sliding and value of given voltage value U are determined depending on signal MD from output of voltage regulator, corresponding to given electromagnetic momentum of asynchronous engine, nominal electronic momentum MN of asynchronous engine, nominal synchronous frequency f1N of rotation of asynchronous engine, nominal frequency f2N of rotation of asynchronous engine and nominal value of voltage UN of asynchronous engine from certain formulas.
EFFECT: ensured optimal mode across whole spectrum of rotor rotation frequency with practically constant power coefficient, overload coefficient and absolute sliding.
