FIELD: design simulation of nuclear reactor core.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method for design simulation of nuclear reactor core involves core division into plurality of large subchannels, at least one of them being provided with core subregion it contains. This subregion has mentioned large subchannel and buffer region surrounding it in horizontal plane that incorporates at least large subchannels directly abutting against mentioned large subchannel. This subregion is divided into plurality of small subchannels which are smaller than large ones. Core simulator is calculated at this step of design using nodal method and basing on data block corresponding to each large subchannel. Then second data block corresponding to each small subchannel of subregion and streams calculated on edge of mentioned region at first calculation step are used to calculate simulator for this subregion using nodal method.

EFFECT: enhanced precision of results in design simulation of reactor core which provides for effective use of nuclear fuel at sufficient safety reserve.
