FIELD: method for producing hot rolled commercial and conversion tubes of large and mean diameters of corrosion resistant and hard-to-form kinds of steels and alloys in tube rolling plants with pilger mills for rolling tubes of given in specification kinds of steels and alloys.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of casting hollow centrifugally cast blanks; turning and boring them till removing scale and flaws of casting origin; heating them till yielding temperature and rolling to hot rolled commercial or conversion tubes in pilger mills. Hollow centrifugally cast blanks are heated till yielding temperature and deformed them in radial-forging machines at forging degree along wall 20 - 50 %. Then blanks are turned and bored till removing forging flaws; heated till yielding temperature and rolled in pilger mills to hot rolled commercial or conversion tubes. Rolling of hot rolled commercial tubes in pilger mill is performed at elongation degree μ ≥ 2.5. Deformation of conversion tubes in radial forging machines is performed at fitting along diameter < 25.0%, at lifting along diameter < 20.0% or size to size.
EFFECT: lowered metal consumption due to elimination of drilling operation of central opening in ingots of electroslag refining, reduced cost of conversion and commercial tubes of corrosion-resistant and hard-to-form kinds of steels and alloys due to using low-cost centrifugally cast billets instead of electroslag refining ingots.
