FIELD: manufacture of small-size cutting tools such as drills, screw taps, reamers, counter-bores and so on.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of deforming heated blank by high-temperature gaseous extrusion realized by means of inert gas pressure fed simultaneously at going on heating of blank; using xenon including impurities in quantity no more than 0.003% as inert gas; deforming blank by acting upon it with ultrasound oscillations at frequency 15- 40 MHz and mean amplitude 0.4 ± 0.05 mm; then performing quenching at temperature 1240 -1300°C and triple tempering realized at temperature 400 -450°C, 560 -620°C and 400 - 450°C respectively.
EFFECT: improved quality of produced tool.
