FIELD: mining, particularly methods for steeply inclined mineral seam deposit development with shield thick seam cutting system.
SUBSTANCE: method involves separating seam into two layers in seam thickness direction; forming coal chutes; forming mounting chamber; mounting shield covering on upper layer ground along seam inclination line; down-dip cutting layers with pillars along with rock roof caving pressure control. Rock roof pressure is controlled by erecting roof bolting in space between breakage face and upper layer shield. Bolt insertion depths exceed direct roof thickness. Number of bolts is selected from necessary time of roof rock caving time-delay and caved rock portion.
EFFECT: elimination of undesirable roof rock entry in working space of upper layer and, as the result, decreased accident risk in breakage face and increased mining safety.
