SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the method of purification of the solid cyanide-containing wastes, in particular, to purification of the products of the heap leaching of the gold and the dehydrated cakes of the cyanation and may be used at the enterprises of the gold mining industry processing the gold-containing raw materials. The method provides for arrangement of the pulse irrigation of the spent mining piles by the recirculated drainage waters without addition of any reactants. The pause between the cycles of the irrigation of the ore stuff makes 10-14 days. Duration of the purification process realization makes 2-5 years. At that deleting of the toxic substances is carried out at the expense of realization of the complex of the production processes, such as the hydrolysis of the cyanides up to the formic acid and the polymers, evaporation of the hydrocyanic acid, the bacterial decomposition and the air oxidation of the cyanides and the thiocyanates, sedimentation of the metals in the form of the slightly soluble compounds and so on intensified by the applied pulsing irrigation of the ore material. The technical result of the invention is realization of the high degree of purification of the solid cyanide-containing wastes at the low operational and capital costs.
