FIELD: shipbuilding; manufacture of marine propellers at minimum level of noise.
SUBSTANCE: proposed marine propeller has hub and blades with entrance and exit sections. Exit sections of blades are made over entire height at periodic deflection of actual blade exit angle relative to designed angle. The periodic deflection of actual exit angle relative to designed angle is magnitude ±Δα reaching 15° beginning with ½ to 1/3b, where b is chord of blade profile in each section; pitch "t" of periodicity may be equal to (0.1-1.0)l, where "l" is blade length; exit sections are wavy in shape. Surface of exit section of blades may be formed by interconnected plane.
EFFECT: reduced intensity of hydrodynamic noise generated by propeller in all operating modes, variable modes inclusive.
