FIELD: inorganic compounds technologies.
SUBSTANCE: processing of sodium sulfate mix consists in that sodium sulfate solution preheated to temperature not below 93°C is neutralized in a series of reactors in several steps each involving use of sulfuric acid. After neutralization at achieved temperature, solution is supplied to a series of reservoirs to complete neutralization and to form precipitate, residence time of neutralized solution in the reservoir series being at least 20 min. Precipitate is then filtration separated and thus purified solution is dried in fluidized-bed apparatus at temperature in packing material bed between 100 and 120°C. Neutralization is advantageously accomplished in at least two steps.
EFFECT: reduced expenses due to simplification of the process, improved its workability due to continuously supplied reagents, and suppressed foaming of reaction mass.
