FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes evaporation of aluminate solution of sinter line of alumina production with isolation into sediment of soda-sulfate mixture, condensation and filtration of condensed soda-sulfate mixture on centrifuge. Soda-sulfate mixture during its filtration is washed with caustic alkali, after which washed soda-sulfate mixture is repulped with hot water, and sulfuric acid in amount necessary to reduce carbonate soda concentration in suspension solution to 30-50 g/l in terms of Na2CO3, is introduced into obtained suspension with further stand of suspension with intensive mixing by live steam at temperature 95-105°C during 1.5-2 h, after which it is cooled to temperature 70-75°C and filtered on centrifuge obtaining marketable sodium sulfate.
EFFECT: reduction of heat-energy consumption with passing simultaneous regeneration of sodium sulfate from soda-sulfate mixture.
