FIELD: rocketry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military materials, namely, to bodies of solid propellant rocket engines and it is designed for use in engines of rockets and rocket shells, including volley fire shells. Proposed body of solid-propellant rocket engine has cylindrical shell and device to damp acoustic vibrations made in form of ring step on inner surface of body. Said ting step is arranged at distance of (0.2-0.4)D from bottom end face of body and has inner diameter of (0.90-0.93)D, outer diameter of (0.96-0.98)D and width of ().1-0.2)D where D is shell gauge.
EFFECT: improved reliability of rocket engine body owing to damping of acoustic vibrations appearing in operation.
