METHOD FOR DETERMINING INACCURACY OF NAVIGATIONAL EQUIPMENT Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC G01C25/00

Abstract RU 2318189 C1

FIELD: satellite navigation, possible use for determining inaccuracy of satellite navigation signal equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method is based on usage of imitator of signals of navigational spacecraft. In accordance to the invention, the imitator is connected through delay line to input of navigation equipment. Zero delay value is set by delay line. By means of imitator, signal with carrier frequency fH is set, which is equal to carrier frequency of navigational spacecraft being imitated (stage b). By means of imitator, discontinuous values of signal delays are set from zero to 1/fH (stage c). Values of signal delays are measured by means of navigation equipment (stage d). Errors of measurements are determined by means of determining the difference in delays of imitator signals and delays, measured by navigation equipment (stage e). By means of delay line, additional value of signal delay is set, and stages b)-e) are repeated. Inaccuracy of navigational equipment is estimated on basis of difference between errors of measurements for discontinuous values of signal delays for zero valued signal delay and for additional signal delay.

EFFECT: navigation equipment inaccuracy is determined when measuring radio signal expansion delay time.
