FIELD: process for preparing of fresh bulb onion for further usage in space feeding.
SUBSTANCE: method involves washing preliminarily inspected bulb onion at predetermined washing mode parameters in sweet water; holding in suspension of preparation produced from Mortierella sepedonioides micromycet biomass using predetermined process; drying; removing non-tightly adhering covering scale; cutting-off neck and cleaning stem; wiping with ethyl alcohol solution; exposing to ultraviolet radiation; packaging each bulb in smoking paper and placing in polymeric trays. Method allows bulb onion storage time to be increased up to 45 days.
EFFECT: prolonged time for storage of fresh bulb onion fit for further usage in space feeding.
