FIELD: canned food industry, in particular, equipment for thermal sterilization of canned foods prepackaged into glass and rigid containers.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has heating section and cooling section, transportation devices and hot and atmospheric air distributing devices. Heating and cooling sections are positioned one above another. Sprayers positioned in cooling section are designed for alternating application of variable temperature water onto can surfaces. Transportation devices are formed as carriers equipped with shafts and mechanical grips for cans. Stepped shafts are fixed at ends of shafts for cooperation with guides in order to impart various rotational speeds to carriers.
EFFECT: reduced thermal processing time and decreased consumption of water.
