FIELD: metallurgy and machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plastic metal working and it can be used in forge shops of metallurgical and machine-building plants at manufacture of vehicle wheels and like articles. Proposed cup-semifinished part is manufactured in two steps, namely, preliminary and finishing ones. At preliminary step, flat initial blank is formed by upsetting. At finishing step, cup is formed width bottom and inclined wall coupled with bottom. Bottom is formed with flat surface from inside and outside. At finishing step, initial blank is deformed by application of normal force in its center from one flat side of blank with resting on its other flat side. Diametric dimensions of formed cup are limited from inside. Sizes of zone of application of force at beginning of finishing step and zone of resting of initial blank are defined by dependences provided in invention.
EFFECT: improved quality of ready articles.
