FIELD: chemical industry; petrochemical industry; other industries; methods of extraction of phenols from the industrial waste waters.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the treatment of the industrial waste waters and may be used for extraction of phenol from the stream of the waste waters. The method is applied in the combination with the method of production of the acetone and phenol from cumene. The method of extraction of phenol from the industrial waste waters includes the contacting in the counter-current mode of the flow of the phenol-containing waste waters with the flow of the hydrocarbons obtained from the lower stream from the last acetone column, for production of the stream of the phenol-free waste waters and the phenol-containing stream of the hydrocarbons. The phenol-containing stream of the hydrocarbons is flushed the aqueous alkaline solution for production of the stream of the hydrocarbons, which is then fed into the system of separation of the alpha- methylstyrene. In the preferential version the stream of the hydrocarbons produced from the lower stream of the last acetone column is flushed by the water before its contacting with the stream of the phenol-containing waste waters. The invention ensures the increased efficiency of the waste waters purification from phenol and exclusion of the necessity to recycle the dissolvent in the system of withdrawal of the phenol.
