FIELD: manufacture of graphite threads and materials based thereon, and tar-based crude materials for manufacture of said threads.
SUBSTANCE: thread is produced from basic material such as tar and is subjected to extension breaking, with number of single fiber altering from first value to second value which smaller than first value. Method for manufacture of graphite fabric involves using hybrid thread containing fibers produced from basic material such as tar and PAN-fibers, with hybrid thread having first number of single fiber; subjecting single fiber to extension breaking and stretching said hybrid thread to second value of single fiber which is smaller than first value of single fiber; transforming hybrid thread into fabric or felt; providing thermal processing of resulted fabric or felt for transforming of fibers into graphite fibers.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in manufacturing of reinforced composites having increased thermal conductivity.
