FIELD: radio engineering, namely, large full turn radio telescopes, possible use for finding and tracking quasi-stationary and remote space sources of radio radiation.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, additional scanning element is introduced in mirror system, namely, periscope mirror with radio receiver fastened on it, which mirror has small size and mass, resulting in increased precision and speed of scanning, and also aiming errors and deformations of mirror system are measured to restore true distribution of intensity from received signal and to correct the image of space radio radiation source and mobile shields of reflecting surface of main mirror are used with corresponding system for automatic management of their positioning for correcting shape of surface of main mirror.
EFFECT: increased resolution and precision of alignment of radio telescope.
