FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: radio telescope antenna has a main mirror reflecting surface which is assembled from movable control shields connected to corresponding systems for automatic control of their position. According to the invention, the device also includes piezoelectric elements which are rigidly attached on internal and external sides of the surface of each of the movable control shields of the antenna, as well as temperature compensation rods which are connected to cooling wire attached to the regular frame of the antenna and connected by the input and output to a cryogenic unit. Each temperature compensation rod is mechanically connected to a piezoelectric actuator with possibility of longitudinal displacement.
EFFECT: high efficiency and resolution of the main mirror of the radio telescope antenna.
