FIELD: electric machines.
SUBSTANCE: ring-shaped permanent magnets are disposed onto rotor on external side of pole halves. Magnets are magnetized in same direction as excitation winding; they create additional magnetic flow in magnet system of generator which results to reduction in current of excitation winding. To close magnetic flux of permanent magnets, magnet shunts join permanent magnets. Magnetic flows, created by eminent magnets and excitation winding, interact in such a way that adjustment of output voltage is not destroyed when load and turns of generator do not change.
EFFECT: reduced electric power consumed by excitation winding; improved efficiency of generator.
