SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with the technology for preparing fresh onion bulbs for storage for their subsequent application in cosmic nutrition. The inspected onion bulbs at the preset mode parameters should be washed in drinking water to be then kept in the suspension of preparation obtained out of Pythium insidiosum micromycete biomass according to the preset technique. Then it is necessary to dry the bulbs, remove loosely adjacent scale leaves, cut the neck, scrape the corm and treat with ethanol solution followed by the impact of ultraviolet irradiation. One should pack onion bulb by bulb into cigarette paper to arrange into sterile polymeric trays. The innovation provides the chance to prolong storage period of onion bulbs.
