FIELD: apiculture, in particular, brood rearing.
SUBSTANCE: method involves placing bee larva, including that at egg stage, in conjunction with cell bottom into artificial cup and transferring to rearing family; cutting out cell with larva or egg from bee comb using tube and cleaning opposite side of cell bottom up to midrib of comb; putting tube onto piston and moving cut out fragment of comb into free end of tube by means of said piston; providing free access to bottom of cell with larva by bending cell walls to the outside or cutting said walls off; applying cup with its bottom opening to bottom of cell while visually controlling getting of larva into opening center, and pressing cut out fragment of comb-cell with larva to outer surface of cup. Set of tools for preparing of bee larva for brood rearing has thin-walled tube and piston provided with stem and designed for free movement within tube having diameter of from 10 mm to 15 mm. Set of tools is supplemented with thin-walled cup provided with opening in its bottom having diameter of from 3 mm to 5 mm. Geometry of piston working end surface corresponds to that of surface of cup bottom.
EFFECT: simplified method and reduced costs of brood rearing procedure.
