FIELD: pharmaceutical and food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing and using biologically active supplements and concerns agents promoting to enhancing resistance of body to viral and virus-induced diseases that comprises substance of vegetable origin as an active component, in particular, betulin and ginseng. Proposed agent for enhancing body resistance to viral and virus-induced diseases is based on birch bark dry extract, in distinction from the known agent, and comprises ginseng roots culture biomass extract additionally. The mass ratio of ginseng roots culture biomass extract to birch bark dry extract is 1:(20-50). Proposed agent shows effectiveness against influenza A virus (H3N2) and its efficiency is comparable with effect of remantadine. Also, proposed agent against influenza virus A/Pr/8/34 (H0N1) provides protection of mice from death at the level of remantadine. Clinical tests showed ability of agent to enhance resistance of body against viral infections being among them against hepatitis of different etiology.
EFFECT: enhanced and valuable properties of agent.
