WATER DESALINATION APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC C02F1/04 C02F5/02

Abstract RU 2319668 C2

FIELD: technique for desalination of sea and ground water by distillation, may be used for creating of small-capacity desalination units for permanent supplying of sweet water to local users in regions deprived of centralized water supply systems.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a number of sequentially connected heat-exchangers connected at one side to source of water to be desalinated and connected at other side to water sweetening unit. Steam pipeline is designed for sequential feeding of steam from steam generator to water sweetening unit and to condenser section of first of sequentially connected parts which are joined to vacuum pump, with terminating distillate collector being connected to cavities of other distillate collectors and equipped with output leading to consuming equipment. Evaporation section of terminating part is joined to steam-and-water and steam-and-air sections of condenser. Apparatus is further equipped with tank-dispenser for feeding water to be sweetened and to accumulating tank for sweetened water to be desalinated. Steam pipeline is made divided. Its first division is equipped with valve and is terminated near water sweetening unit bottom, and its second division is equipped with drain valve, and finely dispersed crystalline powder is introduced therein. Tank-dispenser for feeding water to be sweetened is connected to first distillate collector and to water sweetening unit. Accumulating tank for water to be sweetened is connected to water sweetening unit and to evaporation section of first part. Distillate collector equipped with output leading to consuming equipment is free of heat-exchanger.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of water desalination apparatus.
