FIELD: construction, particularly reinforced concrete columns of building and building structure frames, as well as poles, supports and other elongated building members of heavily loaded frames, trusses and other structures, mainly working in compression.

SUBSTANCE: column comprises hollow body including two metal thin-walled C-shaped profiles with longitudinal walls, ledges and beaded inwards flanges, which are installed so that outer sides of flanges are parallel with each other. Column also has reinforcing members secured inside body, end lower and upper support members and concrete core. Profiles are arranged so that flanges are spaced distance s apart. Metal plate is installed between flanged from one body side so that the plates overlap space between flanges. Several metal strips are installed from opposite body side. The metal strips are at t₁ interval and intermittently spans said space to create technological windows between strips and flanges. Plate and strops are welded to flanges. Drainage holes are created in profiles of both ledges from the side of strip installation.

EFFECT: increased manufacturability and possibility of in-situ column production or column pre-fabrication.
