SUBSTANCE: structural member has long hollow body containing at least two thin-walled metal jackets. Each side edge of jackets carries flange running along its entire length. Flanges are matched with face sides to form hollow body. One hardening insert as minimum is linked to end part of body, body is potted with filling agent. Hardening plate is attached by means of adhesive such as epoxy resin to internal surface of each thin-walled metal jacket to increase tensile strength of structural member. Besides that hardening plate has at least one slit and proper number of flanges formed on side of slit. EFFECT: increased tensile strength of structural member. 16 cl, 20 dwg
