DEVICE FOR REMOVING LIQUID FROM LOWERED SECTION OF PIPELINE Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC F16T1/06

Abstract RU 2320919 C2

FIELD: pipeline systems.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device for removing liquid from lowered sections of pipeline has pipe length brought in through hole in pipeline and placed by one end in liquid layer, union with shutoff fittings connected by pipeline with liquid collecting tank. Device is furnished additionally with removable sealing cover installed for sealing the hole in pipeline, and flexible pipeline. Union with shutoff fittings is installed on sealing cover, pipe length is connected by flexible pipeline to inner end of union with shutoff fittings and is installed in pipeline for taking out after removal of liquid. End of pipe length placed into liquid layer is provided with series-connected liquid intake with side holes and tip made of sparkproof material. Liquid intake with side holes is connected by flexible insert to pipe length. Pipe length is made of pipes connected by detachable joints. Pipe length is made in form of flexible hose. Invention makes it possible to remove liquid from difficult-to-get at sections of pipelines, such as underwater and road crossings. Place of bringing-in of flexible siphon can be located from place of accumulation of liquid at a distance exceeding 100 m.

EFFECT: facilitated removal of liquid from lowered sections of pipeline.
