SUBSTANCE: the cast trinitrotoluene block-detonator is made of trinitrotoluene granules containing gas inclusions, whose content makes up 10 to 44 percent by weight, the gaps between them are filled with cast trinitrotoluene, it is provided with a polymeric housing. to enhanced the reliability of operation at a content of granulated trinitrotoluene below 30 per cent, modifications of the block were developed. The cast trinitrotoluene block-detonator may be provided with a vertical insert with an opening for the detonator of cast mixture of trinitrotoluene and tetronitropentaerythritol of composition 50/50 percent by weight, or cast mixture of trinitrotoluene and hexogen of composition 60/40 percent by weight, or have a layer in the active part area of the detonator containing a cast mixture of trinitrotoluene and tetronitropentaerythritol of composition 50/50 percent by weight, or a cast mixture of trinitrotoluene and hexogen of composition 60/40 percent by weight. The cast trinitrotoluene block-detonators are receptive to standard means of initiation, posses a high water resistance, feature a simple and safe production practice, may be produced with a mass within 0.5 to 3 kg.
EFFECT: simple and technologically effective manufacture of the block having the required water resistance, reliability of operation and a high power.
