FIELD: geophysical analysis, in particular, method for building a reversible three-dimensional hydrodynamic model of earth, possible use for optimizing the drilling process and for predicting development of super-hydrostatic formation pressure before or during drilling.
SUBSTANCE: method includes building original three-dimensional model of earth by combining solutions for a set of separate one-dimensional models, each one of which corresponds to founding point of real or potential well and encompasses whole corresponding set of formations along the well shaft, with solutions for corresponding set of two-dimensional models of earth, which are built for individual formations only, and optimization of built original three-dimensional model of earth by determining optimal set of formations and optimal set of calibrated model parameters. Also, method and system are claimed for using claimed method for building earth model to predict development of super-hydrostatic formation pressure before and during drilling. Because the earth model which is built in accordance to claimed method ensures efficient circulation of data, in particular the data collected during drilling, precision of predictions is increased in real time scale during drilling.
EFFECT: optimization and increased safety of drilling process.
