FIELD: household appliances.
SUBSTANCE: proposed vacuum cleaner has housing, brush unit, brush rotating in contact with surface to be cleaned, water discharge tip and front and rear blocking parts. Dirt and dust suction hole is pointed to surface under cleaning, flow-through communicates with main housing and limits dirt suction channel. Front and rear blocking parts are made in front and rear parts of brush unit on its lower surface for selective opening or closing of dirt suction channel under action of friction force appearing at engagement with surface under cleaning. Front blocking part contains closing shield in form of plate to close dirt suction channel in front part of brush unit, turnable axle made on opposite ends of closing shield and attached for turning to brush unit, and turnable projection in form of sector on side of closing shield whose bow-like section passes from leading edge of closing shield so that leading edge of closing shield recedes from surface under cleaning when bow-like section comes in contact with surface under cleaning. Rear blocking part is made behind rotating brush and it contains upper part secured in groove for accommodating rear blocking part made in brush unit and rear closing shield with flat surface and projecting surface with bosses equally spaced on surface. Pressure is applied from side of surface under cleaning on part of each leading end, flat surface or projecting surface selectively, depending on direction of movement of brush unit. With vacuum cleaner moved forward, its front blocking part opens dirt suction channel, rear blocking part closes dirt suction channel and rear closing shield flexes so that pressure from side of surface under cleaning is applied to flat surface. With vacuum cleaner moving backwards, front blocking part closes dirt suction channel, and rear blocking part opens dirt suction channel and closing shield flexes so that pressure from side of surface under cleaning is applied to projecting surface.
EFFECT: improved reliability of vacuums cleaner in operation, simplified design and reduce wear of blocking parts.
