FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to concentration of useful minerals and it can be used for separation of pulp containing mixture of mineral by density, for instance, for separation of gold from sand of placer deposits. Proposed method includes delivery of initial material into bowl with rifles rotating around its axle, delivery of loosening water into channels located in interrifle space of bowl. Simultaneously with delivery of water, air is fed into interrifle space, and air ratio being 1:1 to 1:4 of amount of air to amount of water. Water and/or air is delivered at pulsating mode, frequency of pulsations from 30 to 60 per minute.
EFFECT: increased degree of extraction of heavy particles in interrifle space, increased quality of concentrate, provision of optimum hydrodynamic conditions for complete separation of heavy particles.
